I am on my fourth Focus currently and considering buying a fifth. It is a thoroughly enjoyable car to drive, although my current 1.6 is far inferior to the 1.8 I previously owned. Handling is nothing short of superb for a car in this class. However, the dealers are awful, utterly useless My car has been in 5 times in the last 3 months, and have always failed to fix a simple problem and I ended up fixing it myself. Horn stopped working, and I took my car in three times before it got fixed under warranty. And this is the best of several dealerships I have tried in northern England and Scotland!! They are extremely rude. They never get the work done when promised; they always promise they can pick me up from work when the car is ready, and never turn up The only real problem I have had with my Focus’ has been the power steering pump leaking on two of them (costly to replace) In short, it is a brilliant car, though not faultless; if only I didnt have to put up with the Ford dealers!!
