As a company car driver with an inflexible car scheme, I dreaded the thought of a diesel Focus when told I was getting one. To convince myself I took a test drive in a TDCi and could not believe the midrange power available Ive now covered almost 50K miles in 18 months and apart from an appalling main dealer who couldnt sort out even the most minor of faults - windscreen wipers that dont park on flick and a too high clutch pedal (their all like that sir - I know they are not because my company has 4!) and a drivers seat that gives me back ache, I can’t complain about this car I drive hard and only get 20k from front tyres but still get high 40s to the gallon and very low company car tax. It also handles and tows well for a front wheel drive car. I occasionally get sudden stalling at low revs but it is rare, mainly because I rarely drive slowly I wont mind having another. |
