2 years old and its still as enjoyable and entertaining to drive as new! A real peach BUT! Let down by appalling, obnoxious dealers unable/ unwilling to diagnose faults on the 1st, 2nd,....6th attempt 13,000 miles and 25+ visits to dealer New cam belt, all belt pulleys, water pump, power steering pump, alternator, gearbox cables, engine management system, overdrive switch, 8 sets of hatch struts (boot lid still comes down on head in the rain) etc £450 and 2 weeks to repair front when a Golf hit it in a car park. No damage to the Golf Then the complete drivers side was damaged by a hit and run driver, which took 7 weeks and 4 attempts to repair. When I complained about the handling on the third attempt they insisted it was fine because they had adjusted the rear tracking (interesting!) Following a complaint to the insurance company they inspected the repair, which they described as "of an unmerchantabl standard" and ordered the work to be carried out again including a complete respray of the car Factory fitted alarm, which I ordered for £250. When it went wrong it turned out to be a £150 nondescript alarm fitted at a local outlet. Ford customer services didnt want to know and the dealer only refunded the money when threatened with legal action The car has been in the dealers for 4 months out of 24 They havent provided a courtesy car for a single day, as they dont have any automatics for disabled drivers who they treat with a "you dont know anything about cars" attitude. I have been waiting over a year for a reply from Ford customer services to my complaints about their attitude. |
