Impressed with the handling and performance (depending on the brand of Petrol - dont use Supermarkets) Not impressed with the low quality plastics used in the interior, the dealers, fuel consumption. Had the problem with the fuel gauge once or twice just after purchasing the car 18 months ago with 31K on the clock. Went back to the dealer 8 times with creaking suspension which turned out to be anti-roll bar link arms - apparently a common problem. Also power steering rack replaced (under warranty, thankfully) due to fluid leak. Half of the elements in the heated front screen dont work and the black strip on the drivers door has fallen off. Overall not really impressed and not sure whether I would consider a Ford for my next car.

PoL Comment: UPDATE:
Now had the car for 5 years and it has definitely improved with age. Has sailed through every MOT and is fairly good on petrol now (about 35MPG) after an ECU update by my mechanic. I've just passed 70K miles and there have been no further problems (apart from general wear & tear items - tyres, brakes, etc.) Still disappointed with the quality of the interior and the seats mark very easily and are difficult to clean. Will change the car next year (hopefully) but I still don't think I'd buy another. Revised rating: 2 Peaches from 1 Lemon.
