I bought my Focus when it was less than one year old and had done 10K miles. It is probably the worst car Ive had The first problem was a knocking from the front end. This took Ford 12 months to finally diagnose and replace a faulty pedal box. More worryingly is the recent reoccurrence of the knocking sound Other problems include rattling interior trim and windows, problems getting it into reverse (which was fixed but has now come back, brake discs that needed replacing after just 25K miles and the notorious leaking pollen filter Worst of all though was rust just under the rear wiper when the car was less than 3 years old. Ford tried to fob me off and gave me the impression that I was lucky that my Focus had lasted this long before starting to rust....talk about giving the customer confidence in their products! In the end they agreed to pay 95% of the repair cost I thought that buying a car less that was only 10 months old would give me years of trouble free motoring, but its been into the garage more times than I care to remember Its a shame, as I still love the way the car looks and the handling is very good, however I will never again buy another Ford. |
