This Civic was ordered sight unseen and was one of the first off the Swindon production line I have had it since, over 9 years, and the only maintenance has been routine. This did include the rear trailing arm bushings at 48,000 miles which is the only tricky repair, everything else is the usual If I could change anything it would be not to have an electric sunroof as the roof recess lowers an already low roof causing poor headroom Overall, completely reliable - its even on its original exhaust (stainless steel back box) and battery (Lucas) The only paint blemish is a spot at the bottom of one rear wheel arch which is the size of a 50p piece and seems to be caused by some sort of hard putty under a thin layer of steel. No,it wasnt crashed, came like that from the factory Economy is 40 mpg and the engine the cars best point. It also has all round double wishbone suspension which I believe is meant to be the best. The handling is fine but not vastly different from the typical The one outstanding impression I would have of this car is that when cruising on the open road there isnt a single rattle from anywhere - sounds just like new Honda dealers however : Id give them Zero Had to get new gear oil once and favoured Hondas own transmission fluid as the Civic needs that or 10w-40 engine oil in the gear box. As I wasnt in a rush for the fluid I would wait until I was passing a dealership so over a year I ended up calling in to 5 separate ones and only the last even new what I was talking about So what do they use? Maybe they just wanted me to book the car in and theyd handle it.
