New family arrivals brought need for 4 doors and decent boot. A normal 4 door was not on my list, so had to be something special Golf GTi180 - to small a boot ST/RS Focus only 2 doors Maybe a Seat Leon-R but my local Skoda Dealer offers WRC rear spoilers and Graphice After giving me an unaccompanied 2hr test drive I was hooked. The build Quality and level of standard trim is excellent, climate control is excellent, as is good headroom for tall drivers The boot is cavernous for packing all the prams, cots, food, and clothes for a weeks’ self-catering holidays 40mpg motorway, ave 33mpg from new. Performance is eye opening to others. Brakes are phenomenal; brake dust can be excessive on hard to clean wheels Traction control useful in winter snow. VRS looks the business with WRC spoiler in place of standard ski blade Service costs are excellent. Open the boot slowly on rain to minimise water ingress to boot. The only thing I would change would be +50bhp and 4wd. |
