I previously owned the 1994 1.1 model which I didnt have any major complaints with over the two years except a severe clutch judder and my entire exhaust fell off the car, leaving me stranded in the middle of the night and had to call Dad to the rescue Overall though I enjoyed the older Punto, it was cheap to run and quite nippy in town. When I went to buy a new car then I went for the brand new look Punto, which has many improvements on exterior and interior styling and just looks pretty gorgeous Have owned this one for about six months and am really impressed with it, quality of driving is excellent. Only a minor niggle but although it is only a 1.2 petrol consumption is pretty bad...only about 30 mpg. Hmmm.

<br>After 9 months of pestering, my dealer replaced the car at no cost.... Have now done 1000 miles in the replaced Punto -- and guess what??? The clutch judder has appeared...
<br>I am inclined to sell the car on - Fiat obviously have a severe clutch judder problem with their new Punto model - not sure I can face another 9 months, 3 clutches, and various other rectifications again....
