I purchased a 53 plate (facelift model) in February 04. It is now (Aug 04) and requiring a second replacement clutch despite only covering 9k miles since new. This fault causes the car to shudder violently (and embarrassingly) at times particularly reversing and speeds from 0 to 15 mph Fiat UK pretending not to be aware of problem and after a month since the problem re-emerged they are demonstrating a lack of urgency or interest in correcting my car despite it only being 11 months old On the plus side I cant hear my wife talking when Im in the rear seat as a result of poor road noise insulation The indicators do not wish to click on when driving in a bend or roundabout The icing on the cake has been the painful electrical static shocks I often receive from it Has got great headroom though I used to bang my head when entering my previous car a 2001 model Clio though it is not as nice to drive as the Renault.
