I dont know who Fiat think they are, but they arent all that. In fact I am so sick of this Punto, I wish I could send it over a cliff. I bought this Dynamic 1.2 16V car brand new in 2002 and it has been non-stop hassle The interior trim in the roof near the boot was not fitted properly and kept coming away. The plastic clips that held it in place were rubbish and Fiat took six months to get some more, then the dealer took a year to fix it Then the seal on the boot went, the radio went faulty and the ariel wire had to be changed. The CD does not work properly and often indicates Changer when there is no changer in the car. You have to switch it on and off again to get it to work. The headlights kept steaming up and Fiat eventually added some extra part to cure it, but why it is not fitted as standard, I dont know The right wing mirror simply fell off when it was being adjusted and the car intermittently will not start. And now the electrics have gone faulty and the headlights will not work. The car is going in again next week to no doubt have the Electronic Control System replaced. And still the faults persist...the car makes a dreadful tapping sound when started. My advice is get rid of this car before the warranty expires, otherwise you will be spending forever To sum up, the Punto is a stylish car but it is let down by its poor build quality. And Fiat dealers and the head office is useless.
