Having now driven the new model octavia diesel for two weeks and 2000 miles, the car is brilliant average 54 mpg, solid as a rock the build quality is beyond belief. The dashboard is soft feel not hard creaking pastic. The boot is massive. I have the audience upgraded stereo with twelve speakers if you like a good sound in your car then this cannot be bettered for a manufactureres unit. The price for the spec is very very good as good as a passat but ?£3000 cheaper, and thats the elegance spec . Also allthough its only a 105 bhp engine the ratios are spot on and it goes very well pulls nicely. With 80000 miles unlimited warranty you just cannot go wrong.This has most definitely restored my faith in the motor trade after a yearofterhell with Renault, see my comments on that car under Laguna |
