The car purchased new, oil consumption only high in first 2,3000 miles seems to have stopped now at 10000 I have driven car fairly hard at times maybe that is the key, car bit boring but practical As a private garage manager I have seen and worked on many of these vehicles, oil burning only really affects 2.0 diesel, cutting out petrol’s usually mean dirty throttle body, most faults can be cured with correct fault finding, good luck, Jeff.
