Less than 24 hrs after collecting the car the spare wheel was stolen! Seems that I am not alone in receiving a standard reply from Vauxhall Customer services. At a cost of £99.00, the dealer supplied me with a new wheel and tyre but could not match the specific tyre the car was supplied with! Apparently they are fitted locally where the car is produced Again customer services were contacted but again, a poor reply, the dealer can supply the specific tyre - ask them to contact.... - sorry Vauxhall but it is not my job to educate your dealer Otherwise, the car was supplied with a loose object within the tailgate, which rattles. The dashboard squeaks, the gear change is obstructive and very notchy and the engine has a habit of almost cutting out when the clutch is dipped when the car comes to a halt It is also one of the most frustrating cars to drive smoothly that I have encountered. Finally, there is the most annoying whining sound which emanates from the front offside wheel at around 2100rpm when cruising, on trailing throttle or when coming down the rev rang whilst braking. Exactly the same problem as a previous 2000 model Zafira. The dealer suggested leaving it or dismantling the front of the car, we chose three years of annoying noise!! |
