Until I read this site, I thought I was the only one having problems. Bought the car in 2001 in France, so it is actually an Opel Yes the oil problem is there but in addition to this the car doesnt start first thing in the morning. Initially this was intermittent but now it is every morning. The car has been back to the garage three times for this problem and each time they have replaced something or other; fuel system, engine hose, air pressure meter etc. yet the problem is still there, and I have had to pay for all these changes even though there has been a problem with the car from day one I have found them totally incompetent. Vauxhall are now looking into the problem with them via their technical team and want me to take the car back to the dealer so that they can handhold them in the tests I fail to see the purpose of buying a new car if it is going to go to the garage every other day. I love the flexibility of the car and every thing about it apart from its reliability and mechanical failures, which is a big thing Their customer service and attitude of their dealers, each time trying to prove it is your fault is some thing to be desired. They know they have got you over a barrel and take full advantage of that. Even Vauxhall admit that they cannot force the dealers to do anything I have made my mind up; I will not be buying Vauxhall again. I would rather go to a manufacturer that values its customers and has reliable products Incidentally, I have worked out that if I back the car in my driveway, it starts in the morning and if I drive in the driveway, it does not. And no, my driveway is not on a hill. In addition to above on long drives - A3/M25 at high speeds I was getting the car with the spanner light on intermittently. The car apparently started running in emergency mode so as not to damage the engine (at least that is what I have been told).
