After reading many of the posts here I have found that I am not going insane! I have had similar problems with starting in the morning to the point where it would not start at all. I at the same time had a loss of compression on the cars acceleration, 2 occasions de-accelerating going downhill with accelerator fully down I changed the glowplugs, not really necessary, but it seems to start pretty much most of the time. I still have not figured out the compression problems that I still have, normally from about 25mph - 65mph. It feels like the car is pulling away then pulling back then pulling away then back etc Any advice please.... Before I pay ?£100 for the buffoons at Vauxhall just to look at it. BTW it was water pumps on mine that went, I ve had 4 of them, the dealer garage said it was a known problem. In the end I changed the connecting hose for ?£1.25 on the wipers and bammo it worked, it was not the pump but a blocked tube. I would appreciate any advice...good car though!

I recommend the Dealer Technical Software (TIS2000) after my remarks about sluggish and poor starting. I got the CDs and it pointed to the airmass filter replacement. According to the software, if the unit is under three years old they should replace it with once that has been modified. I’ll email you the document if you want. Any way my car is humming!
