Same old Cookie OIL CONSUMPTION, I have put nearly 2 gallons of Oil in this car since I have had it. Running around town it just meets there 1 ltr per 1000 miles guideline but when you take it on the motorway its more like 1 ltr per 500 miles. They too put in the running in oil which is a thin oil which causes engine wear in an attempt to ruffen the bores which apparently were machined with too much off a gloss. Anyway after 300 miles of using this oil the engine developed a top end knock sounding like a worn camshaft after another 4 visits Vauxhall decided to put back the original oil straight away, this did not cure the knock. Vauxhall then decided that the knock was an engine mounting? Waited a week for the new part... Guess what.... Still knocks. Advised Vauxhall that I had booked a holiday in which I needed the car to carry six people, the response was appalling stating that they could only supply me with a Corsa for my holiday. The car still knocks and still uses gallons of oil. I have contacted Watchdog and I would suggest all with this problem should. |
