My problems with Zafira started within 12 hours of receiving it The Alarm system started going off spontaneously (mostly at night!). It took the dealer 8 weeks to fix it. Now the alarm siren goes off every 15 minutes whether the car is locked or not, apparently it can not be disabled, so you and your neighbours had to live with it until fixed The dealer found no fault! but said I may need the power sounder changed for £84, but no guarantee it will fix the problem This saga still going on. Is there anybody out there who knows to disable this damn alarm? Car thieves probably know better than dealer engineers do The third problem was a screeching noise from the wheels. This was corrected by the dealer at Vauxhalls expensive due to a faulty design of the back brake discs. So why Vauxhall did not call for those cars before the customers find out the problem for themselves. They said it might make a noise but not risk factor I still can hear my cars alarm siren going off. I will be waiting for the garage to look at it again The other problem started from 6 months old, is cutting and stalling when idle or when slowing down I have noted this has happened to other owners. This is particularly dangerous in roundabouts. Despite several checks by the dealer, no diagnosis or cure! When the bought extended warranty lapsed, they diagnosed faulty throttle, changed at £340! In a car only 3 years old. I noted that this happened to others. It must be a faulty design. |
