Ive run this car for 75,000 miles now, mostly trouble free. The drive belt change is a really IMPORTANT issue - mine was originally scheduled for change at 80k but since I bought it they changed the spec to 40k without telling me OR my local garage.
<br>The problem is that if it breaks, there is a good chance that the cylinder head will blow too - this happened to me at 50k and it cost me ?£1700 to fix. When I complained to Vauxhall they eventually offered me half of the repair bill - a bit churlish I thought considering it was entirely their fault.
<br>My oil consumption is not too bad, I have to top up every 3000 miles.
<br>Apart from that, this is actually quite a good, if boring, family car, generally reliable and trustworthy. Ill give the car one peach, and Vauxhall a whole dumper truck load of lemons for their poor information to customers and independent garages. |
