Had this car for about 18 months and have had sporadic engine stall when approaching junctions or when stopping. I have seen various comments on this site most of which I have tried. It wasnt until a friendly independent MOT garage pointed out that the exhaust was bent & kinked that I have solved my stalling problem. It appears that at some stage I had reversed into a low kerb, which had pushed the exhaust forward. As there is a 90 degree bend in the exhaust, this bent further causing it to kink almost flat. This caused restricted exhaust flow, hence choking the engine causing sporadic stalling. The MOT garage even showed me where it was and suggested that it would be a fairly easy DIY job as it was only fitted with a few bolts and no special tools required. I bought a new complete exhaust, fitted it myself in about 3 hours it only cost me ?£120.

The car has not stalled once since fitting and revs far smoother. May be an alternative line of investigation to all those messages posted about stalling?

Other than that the cars been OK.
