We brought our car from new mainly due to necessity as we have 4 children and the zafira has provided the versatility to act as a good estate and people carrier, ferrying children and friends to their various locations. I would not recommend it for carrying more than 4 adults for long journeys and no doubt will need to replace it with a larger vehicle when the children are older and bigger, but by then the car hopefully would have exceeded its useful life for us. We have had only one problem with it after about 18 months old it started stalling at junctions/ roundabouts etc but a mechanic friend of ours located the fault by drilling a larger hole in the air intake manifold ( I think ) as per official field remedy modification 15.90 at a cost of ?£40 and we have not had a problem since (touch wood ). It is an excellent family car. |
