The biggest dissapointment / shock has been the fuel consumption, mixed 25-30mpg is not good. With my previous car a 1.8i Laguna I got close on 40mpg and even though this is a MPV v saloon I did not expect the consumption to be as poor as it is and which will hit your pocket heavily if you do a high mileage. I have just one intermittent problem (x1 per month) of the engine cutting out, usually whilst breaking and depressing the clutch. I did get a Vauxhall garage to re-boot the on board computer for me at a cost of sixty seven pounds fifty pence for a task which took them less than ten minutes (but sadly they have to charge for a full hours labour minimum) and which failed to resolve the fault. Overall I do like the car but if you are thinking of buying one do consider the poor mpg and the likely hike in your insurance premiums compared to a saloon car. |
