Car bought from a garage in Edinburgh with a true millage of only 12000 owned by an old couple in Edinburgh who looked after it like a baby. Not long after getting the car from the garage I noticed a lack of paint on the bonnet like little pin holes in the paint. I mentoined it to the garage who told us the paint warranty was only three years and as the car was more than three did not qualify. But we paid over ?£7000 for the car and given Hondas attention to detail [or so I thought] a car at that price should have been turned out better. <br>We also go a cd player put into the car but in doing so the mechanics did damage the dashboard getting the silver centre part out as there are no lever points between the two parts. They would not admit to it but agreed to sort it. <br>Also when the car is cold and being automatic, when arriving at a junction and give throttle to pull away the car dies unless you give it a couple of prods on the accelorator. I have phoned garage about these issues and I am taking it in tommorrow 15/10/05 will keep you posted. <br>Overall though the car feels very and is reliable and is immaculate except for the bonnet problem. <br>If they sort these problems I will be a happy chappy.

PoL Comment: I must admit that I find this problem of yours unusual for a Honda. Is the garage a Honda main dealer? I know that main dealers are the pits but even so, it is hard to believe that Honda's agents are being so uptight.
As ever, you must try to negotiate your way to reach an amicable settlement. We at Pol believe that ALL main dealers hide behind invisible rules and regulations so the more comments we get the more these "regulations" will be seen. If you do not get things done to your satisfaction, start making a fuss in a very loud voice so that all in the busy showroon can hear and understand exactly what is happening and hope that the dealers will respond favourably.
