Oh dear, sorry to see so many lemons for the Punto, we have had ours since 1989 and it has been a great trouble free and economical car. We are the second owners and bought it with 6000 miles on the clock it now has 32,000, it ran on the original tyres untill last year and even when I changed them they still had a few thousand miles left on them. The brake pipes were showing signs of rust two years ago these were replaced FOC by the main dealer. First to second gear is a bit notchy, I have replaced the rear half of the exhaust about three years ago and the rear windscreen wiper arm, I keep an eye on Puntos of a similar age and I defy anyone to spot one without a dent, they do dent easily, but all in all a cracking lively little car that is economical to run. |
