I purchased my 2nd hand Vauxhall Zafira in March 2006 from a local dealer in Motherwell. Had a few hitches on the day of collection which were eventually sorted (over zealous cleaning caused parts to be broken on the dash board and also trims on both front seats to be broken off - seats fixed - dash not as they say the whole dash would need to be replaced). I thought the Zafira was a marvelous car to drive at first - plenty of room inside (my previous car being a Ford Fiesta - this wouldnt be hard). Thought it was a real smooth mover and for the size of the vehicle it can really shift when it needs to. But recently Dash warning lights have been lighting up like a Christmas Tree and car has acquired a stutter and suffers an extreme power loss - which is extremely frightening when you are on the motorway and the guy behind you is an 18 wheeler. On contacting the dealer (whom I took an extended warranty with) they are less than interested and have offered to look at it in a fortnights time as they are busy are the moment! Guess I wont be buying a car from them again - nor recommending them to anyone. But basically before these dash illuminations and stutters, I really couldnt fault the car. Have practically moved house in it there is so much room in the back and can put my dogs in the boot without being done for cruelty - they love the car too. Just wish someone could come up with a cleaning fluid to remove dog slobber from windows - stuff dries like concrete. |
