Very nice to drive, lovely torquey engine that returns ave. 55 mpg and the tax only costs ?‚?£110 (submitted 05/01/07)!
Interior is practical and comfortable with an enormous boot - its so big my normal weekly shop has to be strapped down to stop it from rolling around!
Likes:
Style, Performance and handling - inside and out.
Lots of storage space.
Auto climate feature.
Dislikes:
Short service intervals (9000miles inside EU?)
Eats oil - but then it is a diesel and the spec costs ?‚?£10 a litre!
Flimsy material on back of rear seats which has been ripped through when seats were down and in use.
Handbrake location could be a problem for larger people and stick in your leg or side?
Paintwork is very thin and has been scratched, chipped very easily.

Faults after one year and 20000 miles:
1. Slight intermittent judder/ misfire will occur at least once or twice during a journey - no particular pattern of occurrence and has yet to identified by the dealer.
2. Fuel filler cap failed to stay open after using interior handle after 8 months - fixed by dealer.
3. Mystery puncture and blow out on both rear tyres with 1 hr of driving it off the forecourt!! Not really a fault but highlights the problem of not having a spare tire fitted! waited 3 hrs for the AA to turn up!

Honda dealers have always done everything to help - very pleasant experience to date. | |||||||||||||||
PoL Comment: I notice that you have said in your comment that the car "eats oil". Do you loose the stuff or does it burn it? Either way, you cannot fault a diesel engine for that. If anything, the petrol version would use more oil because of the cleaning properties of the fuel, whereas the diesel fuel is an oil and therefore helps to lubricate the bores.
