I bought my car twelve months ago having covered 88k miles. Since then I have replaced the discs and pads (myself) and it has been serviced at a cost of ?‚?£245 for the 102 mile service - it now has 108k on the clock. I log my MPG at 34.5 (commute 50 miles per day through town and country) average, but on a run to South Wales does about 42MPG.
As regards "feel" this is the antidote to my Audi A3 - its soft and comforting, its woolly and warm, a safe place that feels like home (must be the leather armchairs. It is like a pair of smelly old trainers that fit like gloves (!), but are a bit disreputable, and you wouldnt really want to be seen anywhere too posh.
And dont throw it into corners, it handles like a boat. But if you drive it smoothly (with is very easy) it rewards you by covering the miles in a relaxed and efficient manner. The brakes are brilliant, the traction is excellent, and in the snow recently felt as safe as houses. The boot is enormous, I can get three bikes in there with one side of the split rear seat down.
I would recommend one to anyone with a family, who has a medium budget, and wants to cover large mileages in safely and reliably.
Not for poseurs. |
