Previously owned a fiat uno for ten years and only once had a problem with it. Have had this car, second hand, for only twelve months and up to now it has cost me over ?‚?£600 for repairs. After only one month there was a fault with the ignition, at the dealer the repair cost over ?‚?£100. In October my exhaust fell off out of the blue. Three months later the ECU needed replacing, ?‚?£435, at a local garage. If Id have gone to the fiat dealer the part would have cost ?‚?£400 alone. In the past week the battery has failed and the alarm system no longer works. If I could afford it Id sell and buy something else. Will be contacting Fiat regarding the ECU as the told the garage that it was a common fault. If this is so why havent they done a recall! |
